Brief
A laboratory where you can see precisely.
For a dental laboratory in Brixen, the brief was workstations that allow precise work: plenty of daylight, glare-free artificial light and tools within reach – in an open space without individual booths.
Solution
Lab benches with technology in the carcass.
The workstations are continuous white lab benches on a dark base, with drawers and pull-outs under every work surface. Extraction, compressed air, precision burners, grinding systems and task lighting are integrated into the benches – the technology sits in the carcass, and the work surface stays clear. Light ceilings and suspended light lines supplement the daylight from the wraparound window front; glass partitions keep the sightlines open, and shelves on the wall surfaces hold models and materials.
Result
Precision needs light.
Every workstation has daylight, storage, all the technology within reach and a clear work surface. The continuous benches can be reassigned when the number of technicians changes.
