Practices that build trust before the first appointment.
A dental practice or dental laboratory is a place where trust is decisive. We plan interiors that look professional while being pleasant for patients and staff alike.
What we promise
What you can expect from us.
One plan, from reception to treatment room
We think function and design together: patient routes, team routes, surfaces, storage, sightlines. We plan the whole practice, not room by room.
Hygiene and technology from the first sketch
Surfaces that can be disinfected, connections with minimal joints, equipment and cabling inside the furniture: requirements that can't be corrected later are settled during planning.
Conversion work that keeps the practice running
We pre-manufacture and install in stages, in the evenings or at weekends. You know in advance which room will be out of use, when and for how long.
Planning and project delivery
Where practice projects get stuck – and how we solve it.
Three points that make the difference in practices and laboratories between planning and opening.
01
Every day without treatment costs money
A practice can't be a building site for weeks. We measure early, fully pre-manufacture and install in short, planned stages – with a schedule that fits your appointment calendar.
02
Where standard ends, we develop
Treatment units, suction, sterilisation and laboratory equipment set dimensions that no catalogue furniture meets. We build the fitted units around the technology and match surfaces to the cleaning agents you work with every day.
03
Trust starts in the waiting area
Patients judge a practice before they are treated. We plan reception, waiting and cloakroom areas as a whole: calm materials, visibly tidy surfaces, documents and technology inside the furniture instead of on the counter.
Process
From first call to final fitting.
- 1
within 24 hours
Briefing
Floor plans, usage requirements, budget range, schedule — helpful, but not a requirement. Even if not all of it is available yet, we're happy to start: in conversation we clarify what's missing and what's really needed.
- 2
within 7 days
Initial design
A first design, focused on what matters most for your project: floor plan optimisation, material concept or product ideas. It costs you nothing.
- 3
in 14 days with a complete briefing
Interior concept and cost estimate
You see your interior before you have to sign it off: floor plan variants, material concept, visualisations and the corresponding cost breakdown. We check requested changes for feasibility straight away — because the people who plan also manufacture.
- 4
6–12 weeks after confirmation
Manufacturing and installation
Manufacturing in South Tyrol, site coordination, delivery and installation by our team according to your construction schedule.
Product development
When off-the-shelf won't do, we design our own.
Some ideas can't be found in any catalogue. We work on them with you, drawing and testing until they become a piece of furniture. For a particular everyday task, a tricky floor plan or a detail you can't get out of your head.

Development detail
Bedside shelf
Bedside shelf developed specifically for Feinzeit — light, charging and shelf in one piece.
For this project the rail also took on the role of cable routing. Milled groove
A continuous rail carries light, hooks and shelves.
USB and power socket right by the bed, flush instead of visible cables.
Partition
Flexible piece of freestanding furniture for design, practical use and acoustics — divides the room without closing it off.
- Precisely matched to the material and colour of the corporate design
Client request: desks kept clear, less personalised. Here, space for personal items.
Shelves, magnetic walls
Dental lab workbench
Table sizes to suit the floor plan,
Pull-out extraction, compressed air, Dremel / fine burner
More affordable
Complex workbench including all equipment — developed for the dental laboratory.
Extraction, power and compressed air planned flush into the work surface.
Heights and reach distances matched to the actual workflow.
Who we are
From furniture maker to complete interior partner.
Variand began as a university project and became the furniture brand variand.furniture. With every project the brief grew: from Variand furniture to further product developments and on to full-service interiors — from the interior concept through site management and interior fit-out to turnkey furnishing. For us as architects and designers, it is a return to what we trained in.
