Brief
42 houses, at the pace of modular construction.
On Lake Mattsee in Austria, 42 modular houses were to be furnished for the eco-resort “das Seehäuser” – homely, flexible and easy to maintain in operation. The houses arrived on site prefabricated, and the furnishing had to fit into this process: the same concept in every unit, installation without waiting time on site.
Solution
One module set for all 42 houses.
The furnishing comprises coat rack and storage solutions for the living spaces, decorative shelves and picture ledges, and extensive kitchen equipment. In all units, modular shelves serve as airy wall cupboards. Wall rails with integrated magnets and dimmable LED light strips allow practical kitchen use and homely ambient lighting at the same time. All units follow the same set of modules – planned identically, manufactured in series and installed the same way in every house.
Result
Quick to install, adaptable in operation.
Installation ran swiftly and at the pace of the modular houses, yet the concept was developed specifically for the resort. Changes are possible while the resort is in operation: the staff rearrange, add or swap modules – a module, not a one-off part. Natural colours and plenty of wood create a relaxed retreat – a stay to remember.
